Cyndi Williams is Founder and CEO of Quin, which is pioneering a new era of virtual care for chronic conditions that doesn’t rely on human healthcare professionals. Their first app is a novel digital therapeutic for personalized independent self-management of type 1 diabetes, and 96% of its users experience better health outcomes and wellbeing. Before founding Quin, Cyndi was global managing director of products at ThoughtWorks, a $500M software company. She spent her early career as a software engineer at Sun Microsystems and has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Daniel O’Mahony
Daniel O’Mahony is a Partner at Seroba Life Sciences venture capital fund and brings a wealth of experience from pharma and medtech industry in product development, strategic planning, licensing, corporate venturing, technology commercialisation and venture capital investment. Daniel graduated with a Ph.D. from University College Cork, holds a business degree in technology management from the Smurfit Business School and has held academic appointments in Ireland and USA. He currently sits on a number of boards include Atlantic Therapeutics and ATXA Therapeutics. He previously sat on the boards of PQ Bypass (acquired by Endologix), Novate Medical (acquired by BTG), Apica Cardiovascular (acquired by Thoratec), Covagen (acquired by Janssen), Stokes Bio (acquired by Life Technologies), Straatum (acquired by Lam Research Corporation).

Professor Dipak Kalra is President of the European Institute for Innovation through Health Data, which promotes the learning health ecosystem by developing solutions to scale up the trustworthy uses of health data. Dipak has led multiple European projects, and developed ISO standards, in EHR interoperability, data protection, business models and the reuse of EHRs for research. His current projects include the generation and acceptance of real world evidence in pregnancy, the governance of patient-centric clinical trials, policies and frameworks for the design and governance of mobile health programmes, scaling up the quality, interoperability and the reuse of health data for research including inputs to the European Health Data Space, the readiness of hospitals to generate evidence for value based care, and an initiative to explain the value of research using health data to the public.

Eric Garnier has an experience of around 35 years in healthcare businesses, including 12 years of expatriation in the UK, Asia and the US. During this period, Eric has occupied key positions with increasing responsibilities in two American multinational Life Sciences companies i.e., Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pall Corporation (a Danaher company).
Eric started in finance and has had several management roles in France and in the UK as European Finance Director. He subsequently moved to general management leadership positions as General Manager France, Regional VP South Europe and then President of the AsiaPac region for Pall, a $800M business, based in Singapore. In his last role with Pall Eric was Vice President and GM of the global Medical BU based in Boston.
After relocating back to France in 2018 Eric has set up his own consultancy business specializing in healthcare. He is also a member of the board of Angels Santé, has invested in several start-ups and is a board member in 3 of them. Eric has an MBA from Institut Superieur de Gestion (Paris).

Eugene is a Chairman and Founding Board Member at YourCoach Health and founder of Initium Impact Ventures. Prior to YourCoach, Eugene served as a Global Head of Digital Health at Bayer. He has also co-founded and sold a doctor rating startup and a consulting company. Eugene enjoys running, writing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Jamie Kemler is currently the VP, Intellectual Property Business Strategy for Stryker Corporation with responsibility for the development and execution of Stryker’s enterprise-wide IP business strategy to include monetization activities and relationships with technology transfer and licensing/venture offices of global universities and hospitals. He spent 2019 on temporary assignment in Hong Kong leading business development across Stryker’s Asia Pacific region. Earlier in his career at Stryker Jamie was Group President for the Biotech, Spine, Trauma, and Development divisions, with multiple manufacturing and research operations in Europe and the U.S.
Jamie Kemler received a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University in 1979 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1983. In 2012 he became a USPTO registered Patent Agent. He is also a Certified Licensing Professional and a Registered Technology Transfer Professional. From 2017 through 2020 he was named to the IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists.

Jerome Samson joined the European Investment Fund in 2017 as an Investment Manager, as part of the team investing across Europe in Venture Capital funds. He represents the EIF on the Advisory Boards of a diversified portfolio of funds, most of which operate in the fields of life sciences or climate & environmental impact, either with a focus on early or later stage investments. Prior to joining the EIF, he made direct venture capital investments successively with three different Paris-based venture capital firms investing in early stage life sciences and agro-food technology companies. Jerome holds an engineering degree from the French Ecole Polytechnique and a PhD in Biology from Paris Descartes University.

Jhonatan Bringas Dimitriades, MD is a Medical Doctor and executive who works with technologists, developers, medical professionals and patients to deliver digital and technical solutions to enhance the diagnosis, treatment, recovery and quality of life of patients around the globe.
Jhonatan believes in the democratization and digitalization of medicine. Dr. Bringas has worked in the implementation of medical technologies in some of the top medical centers worldwide. His work related to medical implementation of technologies, digital health, and innovation has been featured in written and spoken media. Jhonatan is one of the co-Founders of Lapsi Health, Digital Health startup that is developing Digital Biomarkers for multiple usages in Medicine, he is also the CEO of JBD HealthCare, a global consultancy firm on medical technology development, implementation and digital transformation of medical organizations.
Jhonatan is a certified Occupational Physician, with postgraduate education in Public Health, Business Strategy and Digital Health. Jhonatan holds a Medical Degree, re-certified in 3 continents and has held the positions of Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer at a number of companies. He currently has appointments as faculty in Digital Health at several universities.

Karolina Mackiewicz (MA Political Sciences, MA Futures Studies) has over 12 years of professional experience in international projects in the area of health and wellbeing.
She worked for the WHO European Healthy Cities network, leading the WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Cities and Urban Health in the Baltic Sea Region, and the Development Manager at MyData Global – an international non-for-profit advocating for a human-centric approach to personal data. When it comes to digital health, she is especially interested in how technology and data can support the sustainable health systems of tomorrow, health literacy and socio-economic determinants of health.
Karolina has developed and led numerous international projects and cooperated with the EC, OECD, World Bank and other key regional and national stakeholders.
Her professional mission is to bring bridges between the different sectors for a more just and sustainable future.

Marco R. Majer is heading the Ecosystems Team at 5-HT, part of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy’s Digital Hub Initiative. During his bachelor and masters in Business Innovation, he studied in Beijing, Munich and Singapore. Currently he is pursuing his doctoral studies in London, his reasearch focusses on startup corporate collaboration in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and its positive impact on digital transformation.

During past 10 years Martina has been involved in a number of PCPs (Pre-Commercial Procurement) and PPIs (Public Procurement of Innovation Solutions) at the Stockholm City Council and Karolinska University Hospital. Her focus is address challenges by enabling innovation in healthcare, by continuously developing and leading execution of procurement of Innovation, both from a strategic perspective as well as tactical and operational.

At her recent positions at government funding and innovation organizations Business Finland and Sitra, she actively contributes to national, Nordic and EU-level health sector innovation strategies and policies. She is an active influencer and thought leader in international networks and a qualified member of the World Economic Forum Expert Group for innovation, future of healthcare and personalised medicine. Recently she was nominated as HIMSS Future50 HealthIT Leader. Her mission is to boosts the digital transformation in healthcare and at her current role at Sitra especially facilitate the journey towards joint European Health Data Space as a part of the European Commission Data Strategy. She holds a doctoral degree in biochemistry.

Stefano Marzario is a Senior Investment Officer at the European Investment Bank. Since 2017, Stefano manages Growth Capital/ Venture Debt investments in Europe, with a focus on Biotech and Medtech.
Before joining the EIB, Stefano worked for several years at Intesa Sanpaolo in the Investment Banking division in the Milan and London office. Stefano lead and executed several international M&A and Leveraged Finance transactions.
He started his career in Deutsche Bank where he worked as a Credit Risk Officer in the Frankfurt and Milan office.
Stefano holds an MSc in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan.

Principal at Asabys, Sylvain joined the firm in 2018 from Ysios Capital. At Asabys, Sylvain is involved in the sourcing, execution, and management of our investments in the biopharma and medtech segments. He currently serves on the board of directors of Anaconda and SpliceBio and is an observer on the boards of Inbrain Neuroelectronics and Medlumics.
Previously, Sylvain spent a decade in academic labs both in France and the US, working specifically in the fields of gene therapy and regenerative medicine. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York following the completion of his doctoral thesis at INSERM.
Sylvain obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from University of Nantes, holds a master’s degree in biotechnology with honors from University Paris XII, and an MBA from Esade Business School in Barcelona.

Thijs Cohen Tervaert is a Junior Partner at INKEF. Thijs currently also serves on the board of ViCentra, Aidence, Audion Therapeutics and Castor. Prior to INKEF, Thijs was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group with a focus on health care and technology. He worked on projects for pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and insurers. During a one year secondment, Thijs helped to establish the Amsterdam Health and Technology Institute in 2014. Thijs is a medical doctor and graduated at Leiden University. He has also co-authored several scientific papers.

Tobias Silberzahn is a trained biochemist and immunologist and works as a Partner in McKinsey’s Berlin office where he is a member of the Healthcare and Innovation Practice. The focus areas of his work are healthcare innovation, health tech business-building and digital transformation.
Tobias leads the global Health Tech Network, a community of >1300 health tech companies, where he hosts the quarterly Health Tech CEO Roundtable. As part of his work, Tobias also hosts the MedTech R&D Industry Roundtable and publishes the “eHealth Monitor Germany”, an annual book about the digitization of the German health system.
Within McKinsey, Tobias leads the Health & Wellbeing program for employees, focused on sleep, nutrition, stress management and fitness, that was recently awarded the Brandon Hall HCM Excellence Award in Gold.

Xavier Bertrand is currently Vice President EMEA Healthcare Services & Alliances for Boston Scientific, a global leader in medical devices. He leads Hospital Solutions efforts, Capital Equipment programs, Digital Health and Business Development activities in EMEA. Prior to this role, Xavier was Global VP&GM Symetis, a Swiss TAVI leader acquired by Boston Scientific, leading all activities from R&D, Manufacturing to Commercial execution. He was previously Vice President, Europe Interventional Cardiology & Structural Heart. Prior to Boston, he managed the European structural heart business at Medtronic, and also served in smaller size companies like ATS Medical as General Manager EMEA or Biosensors International as VP Global Marketing. He started his career as SAP and change management consultant at Price Waterhouse Coopers, a global consulting firm.
